INFORMATION FOR RENTERS IN QUAIL CREEK

WHERE IS THE QUAIL CREEK COMMUNITY?

This community of approximately 2400 homes is located just south of Tucson, in the Green Valley area.  Quail Creek is a 55+ active adult community in high Sonora desert terrain near the majestic Santa Rita Mountains. To reach our community from Tucson, travel I-19 south to Continental Road, exit 63. Turn left on E. Continental Road which becomes S. Old Nogales Hwy. Travel 4 miles to Quail Crossing Boulevard and turn right. The gate is a half mile from the road entrance.

In order to get driving directions to the main gate from www.maps.google.com or www.mapquest.com, or  your GPS, enter this address of the Main Gate:   1450 E. Quail Crossing Blvd., Green Valley AZ 85614

Note: If your GPS navigation system has directed you to the back gate, make a U-turn on E. Quail Creek Pkwy. At the round-about, make a right turn onto N. Campbell Ave. At the stop sign make a right turn onto E. Quail Crossing Blvd and you will see the front gate. (You won’t be given access to the back gate.)

AS A RENTER, HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO THE FRONT GATE AND AMENITIES?

Renters will be issued a Quail Creek Renter identification card which can be picked up from the concierge at the Madera Club House.

Gate Access Cards  for Short Term Rentals (Less than one year):   Short-term renters may pay $5.00 (cash only) non-refundable fee to the concierge at the Clubhouse for a car gate access card.  The placard will identify the renter’s vehicle to patrol, who will open the gate on the inside lane at the front entrance. Entrance at the unmanned back gate will not be available.

Gate Access Cards for Long Term Rentals (One year or more):  Long-term renters will be able to choose gate access placards with a deposit (same as short-term renters) or to purchase an electronic tag for a maximum of two vehicles at $35.00 each to be installed by patrol at the front gate by appointment. The electronic tag will allow entrance at the front (outside lane) and back gates without assistance.

The registration form needed for Patrol to install a tag is available at the Concierge desk. The renter(s) must call Patrol at 393-2941 for an appointment to have the tag(s) installed at the front gate.

Access to the Anza Athletic Center is free to renters.  Each renter will be required to sign a release to use the equipment.

Renters are welcomed by many of the clubs at Quail Creek.  A list of clubs and activities with contacts is available at the concierge desk in the Madera Club House, which also has a list of activities, entertainment and special events.

Tennis Courts are free to renters.  However, the Tennis Club has first priority on courts in the morning. Swimming pool, lap pool, and hot tub are open to renters.

The golf course is also open to renters and features 27 holes and a driving range, practice chipping area, sand bunker and large practice putting green.  Rates are published on the HOA website under Facilities and Amenities – Golf Course.  Starting times are assigned to renters approximately 5 days in advance.  Renters may call the Pro Shop (520-393-5802) in the morning after the residents are assigned times.

There are two Safeway grocery stores, a Wal-mart Superstore, a Sprout’s and a Fry’s Supermarket (part of the Kroger chain) located within about 5 miles of Quail Creek. Walgreen’s and CVS stores are also available.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PARKING AND RV RULES?

Unless otherwise posted, the speed limits are 25 miles per hour in residential areas and 15 miles per hour in front of or around any of the community buildings and in parking lots. Please remember that all traffic laws apply to golf carts and bicycles as well. “No Parking” signs are enforced, and no overnight street parking is allowed without pre-approval by notification to the main gate.

In general, parking is permitted only in residential garages, on residential driveways, on paved residential streets, and in paved common area parking lots and other such designated areas. In particular, vehicle parking (including golf carts) is not allowed along Quail Creek Boulevard, Quail View Loop, or Quail Range Loop; or on undeveloped lots or unpaved common areas. Exceptions may be made by patrol for maintenance and construction vehicles, and for special events or circumstances.
Only people age 16 or older may operate a golf cart.
