The Madera Clubhouse is the hub of activity and entertainment at Quail Creek. The
reception and concierge desk, the library, a grand ballroom complete with stage and
catering kitchen, a coffee shop and lounge, a billiards room, and a number of
multi-purpose activity rooms will give you lots of opportunities for play or socializing.
Play cards, read a book, use the Wi-Fi, or just sit and enjoy the view.

The reception desk is open year-round Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Saturday hours are 10am-Noon except during the summer months when it is closed. If these helpful folks
behind the desk don’t know it, can’t find it, or won’t do it, it can’t be known or found or done!
They will fax, notarize or make a copy (some charges may apply). They will direct
you to the “Wall of Clubs” to find information and contacts for every Quail Creek club.
They will sell you tickets for the shows and musical acts that play in the ballroom, and they will hand you the latest copy of the Quail Creek Crossing or the Quail Creek X-tra, the newsletters for and by the community. Stop here first to get a map of Quail Creek along with renter and visitor information.

Relax while enjoying a beverage and freshly made pastries in the coffee shop from 6:30 am to11:00 am Monday through Saturday. Read any of a number of free newspapers or surf the web using the free Wi-Fi. [/spoiler][spoiler title=”Library”]
The lending library contains hardback and softback books. Users are requested to note author, title and date when borrowing books. The library is operated on the honor system. Information on books checked out is used only to track circulation and identify the most popular authors.
Volunteers shelve returned books daily. To locate special sections of the library’s collections, consult the map located near the checkout stand. Separate sections include large-print books, jigsaw puzzles, audio CD books and specialty sections by category. The paperback books, audio CDs and jigsaw puzzles are shelved behind cabinet doors.
Donations are encouraged (boxes located in Library) of recent popular fiction and nonfiction titles.

Two pool tables, leather wing-back chairs and a vintage oriental rug make this one of the most elegant rooms in all of Quail Creek. The golf course is open to renters and features 27 holes and a driving range, practice chipping area, sand bunker and large practice putting green. Rates are published on the HOA website under Facilities and Amenities – Golf Course. Starting times are assigned to renters approximately 5 days in advance. Renters may call the Pro Shop (393-5802) in the morning after the residents are assigned times. Renters should also check golfnow.com which ahas special rates and starting times reserved at Quail Creek.

(1) Homeowner is a Property Owner in Quail Creek.
(2) Playing 9 holes during prime time is not allowed. Prime time is determined by Pro Shop, depending on 18-hole
availability. Prime time is 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. during high season.
(3) It is golf course policy that no more than two carts are used per foursome.
(4) Range card can be used for family and guest and has no expiration date.
(5) Annual Members receive a 15% discount on soft goods and 10% discount on hard goods at the Pro Shop.
(6) Any person that is a spectator on the golf course must be approved by Pro Shop and register at the Pro Shop
Management reserves the right to schedule tournaments and open the course to the public at its discretion.

Please be aware that the golf course will be closed for three weeks in the fall for over-seeding, followed by a three week
cart path only restriction. Portions of the course may be closed periodically for maintenance.

[/tab][tab title=”Restaurant”]I don’t know about you, but some nights, I just don’t want to cook. Who am I kidding? As Scott knows only too well, MOST nights I don’t want to cook. So when Lean Cuisine just won’t cut it, we hop on the golf cart or put on our walking shoes (there I am, kidding again) and head to the Grill or the Oasis Lounge. If you’re here during January through April, you’ll need a reservation for dinner, but you won’t need to dress up. It’s resort casual and the food is very good. [/one_half] They say if you’re bored in Quail Creek, it’s your own darn fault. With exercise classes from Aqua Fit to Zumba Basics and a full equipment room with treadmills, stationary bikes, free weights, and more, there are no excuses. Want something a bit more leisurely? Learn bocce ball. It’s easy, it’s social, it’s fun. Or, if you’re used to activities a bit more rigorous, start your day with 40 laps of swimming or a rousing game of tennis. Of course, there’s always a three mile walk around the perimeter of Quail Creek at 5am to pump-up the heart and work up an appetite. So, if you’re bored…..

[tabgroup][tab title=”Anza Athletic Club”]The newly remodeled and expanded Anza Athletic Club has an array of exercise classes plus a roomful of equipment. Start your day with Sunrise Yoga. Dancercize your way to fitness. No excuses with this beautiful club for year-round use. Renters must carry their Renter Identification card with them when using the Athletic Club which is open from 4am to 10pm seven days a week and closed from 10pm to 4am. No key is needed to access the Athletic Club as the doors are handicap accessible and are unlocked during the day. However, you will still need a pool key to access the pool after hours, through the gates. A pool key can be obtained from the Concierge at the Madera Club House. A Waiver and Release form must be signed in order to obtain the key. Renters will be required to make a deposit of $10 which will be refunded upon return of the keys.
[/tab][tab title=”Bocce Ball”]You don’t need to be Italian to enjoy the ancient game of Bocce. You might need a bit of luck or a touch of talent, however, to win. It’s easy and fun and a fabulous way to spend an early outdoor evening with friends, especially since the courts received new felt and refurbis[document width=”600″ height=”400″]hing this summer.
Bocce court hours are from sunrise to 10:00 p.m. daily. The courts are lighted for night play and players are asked to turn off lights when play is completed. Courts may be used on a first-come, first-served basis for club play unless reserved. Courts can be reserved by signing up on the bulletin board outside of the courts.
Equipment is available in the storage bins provided at the courts.

[/tab][tab title=”Pickle Ball”]I had never heard of pickle ball and I’m still not sure if it is one word or two. But it’s one of the newest sports and crazes to hit Green Valley. As you drive into Quail Creek, look to your left and watch the construction of the courts because coming soon……pickleball or pickle ball.
[/tab][tab title=”Swimming Pools”]Quail Creek has a swimming pool, hot tub, and lap pool available for use by our residents. Pool access is by key only.
The following rules are taken directly from the Property Owners Association Rules dated September 12, 2012, Article 6, B1, 1.2 Pools. “There are no lifeguards on duty at the pools. Use of the pools is at each person’s own risk. The pools are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. (Note: the pool hours have been changed to 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.) Pool area hours for people under the age of eighteen (18) are 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. No guest under the age of eighteen (18) is allowed in the lap pool or the whirlpool. Children who are not toilet trained are not allowed in any pools.
At least one adult must accompany any guest under the age of 18. Residents accept responsibility for the actions of their guests at the pool and will be financially responsible for any damage and maintenance incurred. All persons should shower prior to entering the pools and after applying lotion before reentering the water. Toys are not allowed in the pools. A single small flotation device per person is permitted but large devices (such as rafts, chairs, and inner tubes) are not. Small children may wear arm flotation bands and/or flotation vests. Proper swimming attire is required. Cutoffs, jeans, and diapers may not be worn in the pools; tee shirts over appropriate swimwear are permitted. Use of appropriate covering apparel to and from the pools is required.
Running, diving or jumping into the pools, skateboarding or rowdiness is not permitted. Classes will have precedence over recreational swimming. The lap pool is for swimming laps only. Lap pool users should observe a 30-minute time limit if others are waiting to use the lap pool. The lane closest to the main pool is reserved for therapeutic walking but can be used for lap swimming when walkers but can be used for lap swimming when walkers are not present. ” [/tab][tab title=”Tennis”]
Wikipedia states that “Most historians believe that tennis originated in northern France in the 12th century, but the ball was then struck with the palm of the hand hence the name jeu de paume (“game of the palm”). It was not until the 16th century that rackets came into use, and the game began to be called “tennis”.
Year round play is available on six lighted courts. The Quail Creek Tennis Club (QCTC) manages the scheduling of tennis facilities on behalf of the community.

“Tennis court hours are from sunrise to 10:00 p.m. daily. The courts are lighted for night play and players are asked to turn off the lights when play is completed. The courts are to be used for tennis only. Skateboarding, rollerblading, basketball or other activities are not allowed. Appropriate tennis attire must be worn at all times when playing on the courts. Rubber-soled footwear is required. No hard-healed or black-soled shoes are allowed. The following items of apparel are not acceptable:
Men: tank tops, swimsuits, cutoffs
Women: Tube tops, bare midriffs, halter tops, cutoffs, swimsuits and the like.
Quail Creek Tennis Club members and their guests have priority over all others during scheduled play. During the hours of nonscheduled play and when others are waiting to play, playing time is limited to one (1) hour for singles and one and a half (1 1/2) hours for doubles. Switching to another court is not allowed.
An adult must accompany guests under age eighteen.
The ball machine may be reserved no more than two days in advance. The ball machines may be used by any Quail Creek resident or guest who has completed an orientation session.”

Sign up for organized play is on the kiosk at the Tennis Court. Sign up information is also on the website http://www.quailcreektennis.com/.
If you are a new player, please include your full name and phone number on the sign-up sheet.

Lessons have a priority on Court 6 when it is not used for league play.
If you wish to reserve a court during non-organized play time, you may do so up to one week in advance. The court reservation book is located in the kiosk at the Tennis Courts.
Courts are open before organized play on a first come first served basis.
The ball machine is normally used on court 6. It can also be used on Court 5.
To reserve a court and the ball machine, please write in “ball machine” when you sign up for the court.
If you decide you will not be able to use the court or machine during the time you have signed up for please cancel on the Sign-Up Sheet.
After fifteen minutes, a no show will be considered a cancellation.
Individual-Small Group Lessons and Drills are available to all residents.

Guest Use
Household guests are those who are temporarily residing with a Quail Creek resident and are subject to the same rules that apply to Quail Creek residents. Outside guests are defined as those not residing in the Quail Creek community. The courts at Quail Creek are not public; therefore, play by outside guests will be limited.
A resident may host one (1) outside guest per court per week
